My photos are meant to stir emotion, inspire self-reflection and kindle the remembrance of our interconnectedness.

When I have a camera in hand, I’m awake to what’s around me. I notice the beauty in the way clouds form. I’m in awe when I focus on the sun’s illumination of a flower that brings my attention to its shape, color, smell and the rich soil from which it has blossomed.  I feel emotionally moved staring into a watery reflection of a bridge, trees and clouds. I’m excited by the simple yet complicated beauty of a bee pollinating in spring.

My photographs are an intimate portrait of the feeling and Spirit of the natural world as I discover it, intermingled with my own feelings and Spirit.  Sometimes the feeling is joyful and bright, other times it’s complicated and multi-layered, sometimes it’s dark and gloomy. When I’m taking pictures, I feel like an observer immersed in the moment-by-moment movement and stillness in each breath; the endless connection I share with the world resonates through me like a melody. My goal is to capture something beyond shape and color; Spirit, feeling and depth of relationship.
